Cantwell Clotilda Allen Cantwell 1919 - 2017 In loving memory of our mother and celebration of the life of Cotilda Allen Cantwell, born August 24, 1919 to Charles Avery Allen and Clotilda Martigani Allen. Mom was raised in River Forest, Illinois together with her beloved parents and four brothers: Charles, (Edith) James, (Helen), Walker (Teresa), Robert (Evelyn surviving) who precedes her in death. Growing up together during the Great Depression, they found joy with their pony Teddy and spending vacation time out on their farm where she had a childhood that built a foundation of core principles that would serve her well throughout her long life. The values of her faith in God, family whom she loved dearly and always put first, country, hard work, fair dealings, compassion, and generosity stayed with her throughout her life. Clotilda graduated from Oak Park River Forest High School, where she was May Queen and an honors student and a very active member of the Junior Service League. She went on to attend Lake Forest College. Those were very happy days for Mom where she was an active member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority making lifelong friends. After college Clotilda went to work for United Airlines as a flight attendant. She married Frank Cantwell, a Chicago attorney. Clotilda had three children: Frank of Boston Massachusetts, Peter (Barbara ) of Chicago Illinois, and Clotilda (Chuck ) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, who survive her to this day. Clotilda worked with her brothers Robert, James, and Walker at the Allen Tiling Company for many years and then with her son Peter at the law firm of Cantwell and Cantwell. She also worked part time at Marshall Fields, and as a Real Estate Agent, all in the Chicago area. She volunteered for the Infant Welfare Society of Oak Park and River Forest. In 1999 she retired at age 79 and relocated to Colorado Springs to be with her daughter Chloe and grandchildren Jenny and Drew (Katy) Rees. Clotilda's interests included investing in the stock market, collecting antique china, and gardening. She was a voracious reader. Her greatest joys in life were her family who loved her dearly. She made many friends and admirers while living both at Village at Skyline and at Morning Star. We would like to extend our deepest gratitude, to all the staff, at Morning Star Bear Creek for the exceptional, compassionate care they have given. The staffs at Penrose Hospital 4th floor have our deepest gratitude as well. We are very grateful for the years we had with our Mom. She touched the lives of many over her 98 years. Above all she was a loving mother whose devotion to family was unwavering. Her faith in our Lord, courageous, independent and patriotic spirit lives on in those who loved her, as well as those whose paths she crossed throughout her life. Until we meet again, sweet Momma. The Memorial Service will be held in Chicago, Illinois. Memorial contributions may be made to Lake Forest College, Lake Forest, Illinois in her honor.

Allgood Patty Allgood March 16, 1953 - August 12, 2017 Patty Allgood, resident of Colorado Springs, passed away peacefully in her home on August 12, 2017. A private celebration of life service was held on August 19, 2017. Patty Allgood was married to Robert Allgood for 31 years. She was the strongest, most loving and devoted mother to her daughter, Alicia Ford; and step son, Chad Allgood. Patty was so cherished and loved as "Nammy" by her grandchildren: Amanda and Bryant Ford, and Charlotte and Savanna Allgood. She has journeyed to a beautiful place where she will watch over and be with her other loved ones. Patty was born March 16, 1953 in Kadoka, South Dakota, but grew up and was influenced in Miami, Florida. She made Colorado Springs her home for 41 years and worked at Hewlett Packard for 30 years. Patty was an avid Miami Dolphins football fan! She loved playing cards and she loved her flowers. She also enjoyed gardening and watching hummingbirds with her family. And of course, Black Hills gold jewelry was a very important part of her family's heritage! She is, and will be dearly missed by all who love her, but we can rest in the fact that she lived her life to her standards. Online Condolences: ShrineOfRemembrance.com
