  • July 06 - NOTICE OF FILING OF AMENDED TARIFF FOR LOW INCOME ASSISTANCE (BHEAP) IN COLORADO P.U.C. NO. 3 GAS TARIFF of Black Hills/Colorado Gas Utility Company, LP d/b/a Black Hills Energy You are hereby notified that Black Hills/ Colorado Gas Utility Company, LP, d/b/a Black Hills Energy, 7060 Alegre Street, Fountain, Colorado 80817, has filed with the Public Utilities Commission of the State of Colorado ("Commission"), in accordance with the Public Utilities Law, an advice letter with revised tariff to amend certain provisions of the Company's low income assistance program ("BHEAP") for residential customers, contained in the Company's Colorado P.U.C. No. 3 Tariff, to become effective on August 1, 2015. The revised tariff will affect retail customers applying for participation in BHEAP, if the Commission allows the tariff to become effective. The revised tariff updates the federal poverty level (FPL) for the 2015-2016 Program Year. The FPL establishes eligibility levels. BHEAP eligibility levels for the 2015-2016 Program Year will match Colorado LEAP eligibility levels for the 2015-2016 Heating Season. Eligibility is based on household income and number of persons in household. If permitted to go into effect on August 1, 2015, as proposed, the tariff revisions will result in no change to the annual revenues of the Company. Copies of the proposed and present tariffs as filed with the Public Utilities Commission of the State of Colorado are available for inspection at the public offices of Black Hills Energy, 7060 Alegre Street, Fountain, Colorado 80817; or, at the office of the Public Utilities Commission, 1560 Broadway, Suite 250, Denver, Colorado 80202.
