Randol Jacquline M. Randol Jacquline Marie Randol went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on January 15, 2018. She passed peacefully in her sleep after a two year battle with cancer. Jackie trusted in the Lord Jesus as her personal savior in her early 30's and lived a life of faith and trust in Christ until He called her home. She was a faithful wife to her husband Joe Randol and lovingly cared for and supported him throughout his life. She was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother and great Grandmother. Her life was characterized by her care and concern for others with little thought of herself. Her life reminds us of the life of the Lord Jesus Himself, "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many." (Mk. 10:45). Jackie was proceeded in death by her husband, Joe Randol and is survived by her children Rhonda (James) Keller; Rod (Amy) Randol; grandchildren, Kea (Clayton) Bartels; Kelsie Keller; Joe (Jordan) Randol; Chad (Olivia) Randol; Steven Randol; Emily Randol and great grandchildren, Alanni and Bronzson Bartels. A Memorial Service will be held at Northeast Bible Chapel located 1722 MacArthur Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO on Tuesday, January 23rd at 11:00am. Hart W. D. "Bill" Hart 1927 - 2017 W.D. (Bill) Hart was born 9/5/27 in Knoxville, TN. Parents W.A. and Amy Smith Hart. His childhood years were in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He graduated from Riverside Military Academy and served in the US Army 1945-1947. He attended the University of FL and graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1952. Bill was in the livestock business most of his adult life and also a ranch and farm real estate broker in Colorado, Nebraska, Nevada and Wyoming. He moved to Colorado Springs in 1992. He and his wife Susan are (were) members of the Garden of the Gods Club and The Kissing Camels Golf Club. He is survived by wife Susan, Stepsons Matthew Fonda of Los Angeles, CA. John Fonda of Omaha, NE., Niece Diana Hart of Glastonbury, CT., and Nephew Derrick Hart of Stanford, CT.

Garrison Sarah Garrison November 26, 1943 - January 11, 2018 Sarah was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to Jeff and Erma Garrison on November 26, 1943. She moved to Colorado Springs in 2005 from Minnesota. She retired shortly after moving, which is when she was able to pursue her passion for everything koi. She was cofounder of the Southern Colorado Koi Club, named koi person of the year in 2010, had a love of learning about koi and sharing that knowledge. She was one of the most selfless people and loved helping everyone. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister-in-law Leveda, and former son-in-law Pete Nilsson. She is survived by her son Scott (Stephanie) Pfeifle, daughter Michelle Nilsson, beloved granddaughter Samantha Nilsson, brothers Jeff and Andy Garrison, nephew Dean (Gail) Garrison and family, niece Lara Garrison, many loving friends, her dogs Kira and Bandit, and her koi fish. A celebration of life will be held in Colorado Springs in the near future.

Conway Claribel Goodwin Conway November 16, 1913 - January 11, 2018 "Mom told me I was born on a beautiful sunny November day." - Claribel Conway Claribel (Goodwin) Conway was born November 16, 1913 in Canton, Illinois. It was the year after the sinking of the Titanic. She was the daughter of Minerva and Leo Goodwin. In those days men on horse drawn trucks delivered ice to homes. Leo delivered ice to the home of the state senator where Minerva worked as a housemaid. She caught his eye and they later married. Claribel was the youngest of four children. Life was not easy in the early 20th Century. One baby died from an ear infection, the other died from a premature birth. Minerva had T.B. and was quarantined to a tent in their back yard. Even though Claribel said they were as poor as church mice, she still enjoyed her early childhood in Canton. She liked telling stories of her mischievous youth. In a third grade play she was given the role of "Naughtiness." Claribel was 10 years old when she and her mom moved to Denver. It was a popular place for the treatment of T.B. Her father and older brother, Claude, followed them later on. They rented the upper level of a home near East High school. It was a fairly new school at the time! She enjoyed East and participated in different musical groups. The owner of the apartments she lived in took an interest in Claribel. She helped her apply for a scholarship to Denver University. It was offered by the Methodist Church where Claribel taught the Bible to little children. She graduated from East in 1931 and went to D.U. where she majored in English and became a Kappa Delta sorority member. In 1933 she met James Melvin Conway (Mel) at a fraternity party. Claribel reminisced, "I don't know, we just left our dates and talked and talked." Mel had a wild sense of humor that made her laugh for the next 59 years. He graduated from D.U. with a degree in Business. They were married on December 28, 1933. She and Mel planned a honeymoon at the Broadmoor. The hospitality industry has always taken care of its own which made it possible. It was early Winter 1933, the depth of the Depression. There was just one other couple staying at the hotel and she felt so uncomfortable she made Mel check out and they went to the Antlers! Mel started out as a bellhop at the old Cosmopolitan Hotel. He later became the manager of the Denver Athletic Club. With the help of an architect, they built their first home on the old Brighton Road in Denver. It was during the Great Depression and times were tough, so to make do, Claribel raised chickens. She often talked about being squeamish wringing a chicken's neck. Since there was no indoor plumbing, they actually had a "pot to pee in." They raised three girls and one boy. Garland and Jamie were close in age; Mary and Linda came almost a decade later. Setting a nice table and serving a delicious meal was of high importance to Claribel. There were routines established for the dinner hour that gave the family a sense of belonging. It was a gathering place where everyone talked at once and no one listened. It was meant to be fun with phrases from Mel like, "Who's going to say what for whom?" After the prayer, seven family members, which included Minerva, passed the food around in an orderly manner. Claribel was big on table manners! Mel retired from the D.A.C. in 1968 and they later moved to Colorado Springs. Their retirement years were spent traveling, playing golf and enjoying their grandchildren. Mel died in 1992. Claribel later moved to The Inn at Garden Plaza, an independent living facility. She made many new friends, playing bridge, dominoes, and poker. Her favorite time was playing Scrabble with her best friend, Pat Michels. Claribel had many friends and was never known to be at a loss for words. She was engaging, smart and never failed in giving her opinion on any subject. She will be missed and for all of us who were fortunate enough to have had her in our lives, we are all the more enriched. Claribel is survived by her daughters, Garland Page (Lon-now deceased) of Panama City, Florida; Mary Murphy (John Patrick) of Colorado Springs, CO.; Linda Westmoreland (Mike) of Parker, CO. Her son, Jamie of Anaheim, California, preceded her in death in 1998. She also has 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. The clouds were dancing out of Cheyenne Mountain like angels playing on the day she passed away, and it was a sunny day.

Ansorge Iona (Bohn) Ansorge Nov. 3, 1927 - Dec. 3, 2017 Iona Ansorge, 90, was born Nov. 3, 1927 in Fort Wayne, Ind., and passed away Dec. 3 in Edina, Minn. She and her late husband Jim were longtime residents of Colorado Springs and members of First Lutheran Church. A beautiful Celebration of Life service with full choir was held Dec. 20 in Edina. Iona is survived by her son Rick Ansorge of Colorado Springs; granddaughters Rebecca Franklin of Austin, Texas, and Kirsten Diggins of Seattle; and daughter Shelley Ansorge, two step-granddaughters and five step great-grandchildren of Minneapolis.

She will be buried with her husband of 58 years, at Fort Logan Veterans cemetery in Denver, Colorado at 12:30p.m. Hartense passed away Friday, January 12, 2018. Hartense entered this life September 18, 1927 in Mobile, Alabama and passed away January 12, 2018 at Pikes Peak Hospice in Colorado Springs. She was united in marriage to James Wyman Lilly on 10/6/1949. She was preceded in death by James on 11/30/2007. To this union 3 children were born Carol Jean, Jimmy Lee and Patricia Jane. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Leon Nobles, and a great-grandson, Joseph. She is survived by her Brother Danny, 3 children, 7 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren. "Mom was an incredibly strong person. She went to work when she was 15. She worked at a drugstore as a clerk and butcher. She was always roller skating and taught her 3 kids when they were young how to skate. If you wanted to find the best cuts of meat, just ask her. She sewed many clothes, made many chocolate chip cookies and fixed our bikes. She would play baseball with the kids and grandkids. Her embroidery work was beautiful." Dean Alice Jean Dean April 10, 1933 - January 16, 2018 Born April 10, 1933 in Englewood, California, died January 16, 2018 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. A longtime resident of Woodland Park, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her husband, Royce A. Dean and a son, Lawrence A. Dean. Jeanie went to nursing school in California and remained there until she married her husband Royce. Jeanie was an avid reader and loved to travel as an Air Force wife working in base hospitals as a registered nurse. As a member of the Eastern Star, Snow Flake Chapter of Woodland Park, Jeanie enjoyed meeting new people as a state officer. Survived by a daughter, Catherine E. Roettjer; granddaughter, Catrina C. Mitchell; sisters, Fay M. Shade, Nancy L. Cooper; and three great-grandchildren, Andrew Jackson, Amanda Jackson and Adam Jackson.

Jacobsen Chief Master Sergeant Gustave W. Jacobsen March 17, 1923 - January 18, 2018 Gustave "Jake" Jacobsen beloved husband, father, and brother, passed peacefully into eternal rest on January 18, 2018 at the age of 94. He was born in Tacoma, Washington to the late Willy and Sophie Jacobsen. After his father passed at an early age he assumed the role of the man of the house along with his brother Frederick (deceased), and helped raise the other children Irma (deceased), Alfred (deceased), and Katherine. His mother and Katherine were his true inspiration and molded him into the man he was. He entered the armed forces in 1943 and was in the United States Air Force for 33 years. He is a highly decorated veteran whose medals include the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Meritorious Service Medal with one oak leaf cluster, the Jubilee of Liberty Medal and the French Legion of Honor. During WWII he served as an aerial gunner on a B17 Flying Fortress and also an Air to Air Instructor. He logged 244 combat hours in 32 combat missions in both top turret and lower turret waist guns. During the course of his military career, he was stationed at Lowry AFB, where he met his soulmate, Inez Odorico. They were married in March 1959, nearly 59 years ago. For the remainder of his career he served as an Administration Superintendent. He was stationed at numerous bases around the world and retired from Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs. Gustave was dedicated to his military career and to caring for his family. He was a private person who was very kind and generous. He enjoyed fishing, sitting in the sun and spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Inez; his daughters, Debra Jacobsen and Diane (James Campbell) Russell; his sister, Katherine Knoll; and numerous nieces and nephews. Thanks to Suncrest Hospice and to the Winslow Court staff for the great care they gave him during his last days. A visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel. Fields Athol C. Fields Dec. 24, 1938 - Jan. 7, 2018 Athol C. Fields went to sleep in Jesus on January 7, 2018 at 10:50a.m. He was born in Dos Palos, California on December 24, 1938 to Bertha June Hunger and Floyd Fields. Raised on a Lodi, California dairy farm by his grandparents, Myrtle and Carl Hunger, he attended Lodi Schools. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Juanita C. Fields; daughter, Marlene L. Flora; son, Curtis R. Fields; step-daughter, Carol A. Hill; step-son, Kenneth E. Knighten; and 18 assorted grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Athol's memorial will be held at the Seventh-day Adventist Church Central, 1305 N. Union Blvd., Colorado Springs, on January 21, 2018 at 3:00p.m. The service will be live streamed via www.facebook.com/centralsda on that day at 3:00p.m. MT.

Clark Gary Clark Jan. 20, 1947 - Jan. 14, 2018 Gary Clark beloved husband of JoAnn Clark, passed into heaven after battling cancer on January 14, 2018. Gary was born in Colorado Springs to Verle and Lonell Clark, the first of two sons. He graduated from Wasson High School in 1965. Gary and his brother Mark were avid race car enthusiast and known well at Pikes Peak Speedway and throughout the community. Gary married his high school sweetheart, JoAnn, in 1966. Determined to pursue a career that would sustain his growing family and love for racing the Clark family moved to Ft. Smith, Arkansas in February 1978 to open their own Thrifty Nickel business. They built a successful business and raised their beautiful daughters in the community. Gary continued to race cars in the NASCAR ARCA series traveling around the country to various venues with JoAnn by his side. He was a devoted father to his girls and accompanied them to endless in and out of state sporting events. Gary is survived by his wife, JoAnn, daughters Lona Clark Shew, Suzanne (Clark) Robbins, brother Mark and wife Marsha; grandchildren, Dru Morgan, Brady and Kade Shew; Brittany and Colby Robbins, son-in-laws Daniel Robins and Chris Shew. He will be forever in our hearts and prayers. God's Speed Gary.

Bonitz Virginia Marta Bonitz 10/26/1932 - 1/17/2018 Virginia was raised in Walsenburg, Colorado and attended St. Mary's Catholic School before moving to Pueblo, Colorado to attend Nursing School. This is where she met the love of her life, Gerald (Jerry) Bonitz. They fell in love, got married, lived in Walsenburg for and short time, and then moved to Manitou Springs where they continued to grow their family. Virginia loved her Family so much. Her husband, kids, grandchildren, dogs and daughter-in-law, Sandra were the loves of her life and kept her going for 85 long years. Virginia was a Saint to everyone and a blessing if you ever had the chance to meet her. God bless you, Mom, you impacted so many people in such a positive way. Who would have known that she would have been one of the biggest Broncos and Nuggets fans around? She would never miss any of their games even when she was not well. She was always watching with her grandkids or children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rose & Tony Lopez; brother, Hubert Lopez; husband, Gerald (Jerry) Bonitz; son, Gerald (Jerry) Bonitz Jr.; and daughter, Christine (Bonitz) Parker. She is survived by her loving sons, John, Ken, and Daniel; her brother, Orlando Lopez; sister, Irene Tolmich; 6 grand children, Alicia, Eric, Tony, Shayla, Karl, Timmy; daughter-in-law Sandra; 4 great-grand children; and many nieces and nephews who all love her dearly. Mom, we Love you, and be at peace with Dad, Jugi and Chrisy. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 24th between 5:30-7:30pm at Blunt Mortuary. Services will be held at SACRED HEART PARISH CENTER, 2021 W. Pikes Peak Avenue and the time is 10:00am, with gravesite services at 2:30pm at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
