The Children's Literacy Center is holding a reading camp so kids don't slide backward in their reading over summer break. The camp, called "If I Ran the Zoo", is a literacy-based program that gives group and one-on-one reading and writing skills help.

The summer program has two sessions. The first runs June 3-14, 9 a.m. to noon at Pikes Peak Community College, 11990 Swingline Road, Falcon. The second session is June 17-28, 9 a.m. to noon,at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2030 W. Colorado Ave.

The cost is $150. The center is a nonprofit, and proceeds from the camp help provide free tutoring to low-income children throughout the year. To enroll call 471-8672 or visit childrensliteracycenter.org.
