The lottery application deadline for students who want to attend the Academy for Advanced and Creative Learning, a public charter school specializing in K-8 gifted education, is Feb. 19.

A hard copy of an enrollment application is due to the school, 2510 N. Chestnut St., by 5 p.m.

The lottery will be held on Feb. 25 at 6:30 p.m. and is open to the public. Applications received after the deadline will be added to the bottom of a given waiting list for the 2014-2015 school year.

A new enrollment policy includes a regular lottery for all applicants and an additional priority lottery for students who demonstrate a need for gifted academic education under School District 11's identification process.
