Colorado College says Cascade Avenue will be closed from Uintah to Cache la Poudre streets at 8 a.m. Monday because of the college's graduation ceremony, which begins at 8:30 a.m.

The ceremony is at Armstrong Quad.

Jane Lubchenco, CC class of 1969, will give the commencement address, titled “From Rats to Sharks: Tales of Public Service,” according to the college.

Lubchenco was the first woman to serve as the head of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). She served as head of NOAA from 2009-2013.

Cascade is expected to reopen about 1 p.m.
