Highway 24 near milepost 294 was closed for an hour Thursday afternoon after a vehicle caught on fire, Colorado State Patrol said.

Colorado State Patrol Trooper Josh Lewis said that the only person in the vehicle was uninjured in the fire. Lewis said that the Manitou Springs and Green Mountain Falls fire departments responded to the blaze.

Both directions were closed, Lewis said, but were reopened at 4:20 p.m.
