And now, Logan and Wargin talking…non-sports.

Denver’s afternoon drive will have a new sound beginning next week: Susie Wargin, 9News sports anchor who earlier announced her intention to leave broadcasting, will instead spread her workload across media platforms. Wargin will join Dave Logan on KOA on an afternoon news-talk show (not sports), from 3-5 p.m. She replaces Dave Krieger, former Denver Post sports columnist and KOA co-host, whose last day on the air was Monday.

The station’s aim is to broaden the show to a more general news and information format. Going forward, “it is definitely not a sports talk show,” according to KOA program director Greg Foster.

Logan has been the play-by-play voice of the Broncos for several years after an NFL career with the Cleveland Browns and Broncos.
