BOULDER — Boulder police are investigating after a sex offender said he was stabbed a second time by unknown suspects.

Zachary Meints told authorities he drove himself to the hospital after being stabbed Tuesday by a masked man. He told police the same thing happened about a week ago.

In 2012, Meints was sentenced to 10 years of intensive sex offender probation after admitting to sending thousands of sexual texts and Facebook messages to children younger than 15.

According to the Denver Post (http://tinyurl.com/pammf8m ), the wounds were not serious.
