BOULDER — The Boulder City Council is considering stricter bear-trash policies after several bears had to be killed by wildlife officers.
The recommendations being considered Tuesday would affect about 12,000 homes. The proposals come after four bears had to be killed last year while foraging for food.
The Boulder Daily Camera reports (http://tinyurl.com/l5r53a5 ) officials found steak, baked potatoes and pasta in the stomach of one bear that had to be killed, and no evidence of any naturally occurring food.
