The Walmart store on Platte Avenue in central Colorado Springs has been evacuated after a man called and threatened to "blow up the store," police said.

Walmart management called police just before 1 p.m. Friday and reported the threat. Police said the store at 3201 E. Platte Ave. has been evacuated as a precaution.

A sergeant at the Colorado Springs police Sand Creek substation said the man was apparently very loud and irate when he delivered the bomb threat.

No more details were available at 1:20 p.m.
