Body of elderly man found in Bear Creek Regional Park

The body of an 87-year-old man was found Wednesday night by a hiker in Bear Creek Regional Park, Colorado Springs police said.

Elmer Kutila's body was found shortly before 7 p.m. on a trail off the 1000 block of Gold Camp Road on the west side of the park, police said. The man fell an unknown distance and came to rest about 60 yards west of the road.

The body was identified by the El Paso County Coroner's Office. Police are investigating the death.
