Bodies of two women with 'traumatic injuries' found in Colorado Springs home

The bodies of two women were discovered in a southeast Colorado Springs home early Tuesday.

Both women suffered traumatic injuries, police Lt. Howard Black said.

Police were called to the home in the 3500 block of Mosswood Lane, near Chelton Road and Verde Drive, at about 3 a.m. Tuesday on a report of a deceased female there, Black said.

Police searched the home and found two bodies, he said.

No other details were provided.

The incident does not appear to be related to a number of other "critical incident" calls in the city that prompted the Falcon and Stetson Hills divisions to go on accident alert overnight, which advises the public to wait to report not life-threatening emergencies, Black said. That status since has been lifted.
