Teresa Farney has a degree in Home Economics Education from the University of Northern Colorado. She taught home economics and biology at Air Academy High School in the late ’70s, and later wrote a food column for the Colorado Springs Sun, a daily newspaper. In 1986 she moved to Washington, D.C., to be the Vice President of Marketing and Consumer Affairs for the National Turkey Federation, a trade organization for turkey farmers. In 1996, she returned to Colorado Springs to take the position of food editor at The Gazette. Her “Table Talk” radio show is on 740 AM KVOR 2 to 3 p.m. Saturdays.
