The Briggeman bio

I’ve been a part of The Gazette’s sports coverage since 2006, working in various capacities along the way. In 2013 I was awarded second-place nationally by the Associated Press Sports Editors for beat coverage of Air Force athletics. I also cover Sky Sox baseball, local high schools and lend a hand reporting on the many other sporting ventures held in our city and state. On a personal note, I was raised in Kansas, graduated with a journalism degree from KU and have worked at newspapers in St. Joseph, Mo., and Maui. At home, my wife and I are raising three young daughters. This blog will focus primarily on Air Force, but expect to see me chime in on anything that impacts me, our community and, perhaps on occasion, my beloved Kansas City Royals.
