Forwards 18-year-old Ray Christy and his 16-year-old brother Rob announced their commitments to the Tigers with matching tweets Thursday afternoon. The brothers are St. Paul, Minn., natives and play for St. Thomas Academy in Minnesota, which has won five state championships in the past 12 years.
Ray is expected in 2019-2020 while Robert is set for a 2020-2021 debut, per Hockey Commitments.
Ray put up 14 goals and 23 assists in 25 regular-season games, then added five points (1 goal, 4 assists) as St. Thomas Academy was upset in the Class 2A quarterfinals and went on to win the consolation championship. His younger brother's numbers nearly mirrored his, with 14 goals and 19 assists and five points (2 goals, 3 assists) in the postseason.
They will join current CC freshman Christiano Versich, who played at St. Thomas Academy and scored his first collegiate goal last Friday against Alaska-Anchorage.
