Colorado College Tigers forward Nick Halloran was named the National Collegiate Hockey Conference player of the month for December, his first monthly conference honor.
The sophomore from Draper, Utah, totaled eight points in six December games and led all NCHC players with six goals. He tripled his freshman season point total Saturday against Merrimack with his 27th (11 goals, 16 assists). He is on a four-game goal-scoring streak.
Halloran totaled 32 shots on goal, including a career-high 10 on Dec. 8 at Denver, and recorded his second career multi-goal game that same night. He helped the Tigers go 2-1-3 in December.
Tied for fourth in the NCAA and second in the NCHC in points, he is up for Hockey Commissioners’ Association National Player of the Month honors, which will be announced Thursday.
His goal Friday night against Air Force was also named the No. 5 NCHC play of the week.
