FORT COLLINS – Months away from becoming a Division-I athlete at North Texas, it’s no surprise the waterfall amount of pressure Cheyenne Mountain senior Sydney Buckley dumps on herself.
Realistically, that’s usually the kind of commitment and desire it takes to get to that level.
“I get pretty nervous, and sometimes I can get down on myself,” Buckley said.
It is days like Friday, however, the two-time state-winner in the 100 butterfly tries to take a deep breath, hone in on her craft and forget the rest.
