CNN broadcast a documentary on marijuana earlier this summer, and it has since been re-broadcast multiple times.

In it, Dr. Sanjay Gupta delves into everything connected to medical marijuana. He spent months talking to medical professionals, patients and others about the controversy.

In the end, he changed his own personal stance against the drug. His response can be found here.

One of the stories that helped change his mind was that of a little girl who lives in Black Forest.

CNN’s documentary “Weed” digs into all aspects of the controversy, but it also highlights the possibilities and hope that marijuana offers to patients.

“I have seen more patients like Charlotte first hand, spent time with them and come to the realization that it is irresponsible not to provide the best care we can as a medical community, care that could involve marijuana,” Gupta wrote in his story.
