Christian Bergman ran his scoreless inning streak to 21 2/3 innings, fourth longest for a Sky Sox starter, before seeing it end in a 1-0 loss to the RedHawks Tuesday afternoon in Oklahoma City.

Bergman who brought a 16 1/3 scoreless inning streak into the game, blanked the RedHawks for 5 1/3 innings before Domingo Santana hit a solo homer in the sixth.

Oklahoma City’s Jake Buchanan, along with relievers Jason Stoffel and Josh Fields, made the single run enough. Bergman threw 7 2/3 innings, allowing only two hits and two walks.

Bergman finished with six innings pitched, allowing just one run on three hits, while striking out five and walking one. In his past five starts, Bergman has an ERA of 1.29 (35 ip, 5 er) with 21 strikeouts and seven walks.

The Sky Sox put two men on base twice (second and eighth innings), but weren’t able to capitalize on either opportunity.

Kyle Parker, Ben Paulsen and Rafael Ynoa each had a hit for Colorado Springs. Parker extended his hitting streak to 10 games and is hitting .364 during the streak.

RHP Chad Bettis came in relief of Bergman and pitched two perfect innings with one strikeout to lower his season ERA to 2.00.
