Colorado Springs police investigated a barrage of gunfire outside an apartment complex near the Colorado Springs Airport on Thursday night.
Officers arrived at 7 p.m. at the Summit Creek Apartments, 1940 S. Chelton Road, and found six cars with bullet punctures. Police said one of the vehicles was occupied at the time of the shooting.
Officers said they found nearly two dozen shell casings outside the fence surrounding the apartment complex.
"This is a highly-populated complex," Sgt. Jim Jeffcoat told Gazette news partner KKTV. "For us to only have two people with minor injuries - flying glass, that type of thing - is potentially a miracle."
Two men received minor cuts from what police believed to be flying debris. Although several people were in their apartments at the time of the shooting, no one was seriously hurt.
Police have not made any arrests.
