READERS' CHOICE: STEELE DANIELS LOUIS HALL

This Springs-based band with the classic rock sound attracts young fans as well as baby boomers. Fans said: "The vocals are amazing. If you close your eyes you feel like you're listening to The Eagles!" "The harmony is outstanding, they play the classics and ... get you up and dancing."

GRASS IT UP
This local three-piece band plays heavy bluegrass laced with spoonfuls of blues, Celtic, rock and country. They cover songs by Jimi Hendrix, Cake, Pearl Jam, Willie Nelson and others, and also create their own tunes on guitar, mandolin, banjo and bass. They perform regularly around town, in bars such as Trinity Brewing Co., restaurants including Front Range Barbeque, and at festivals such as the Keystone Beer and Bluegrass Festival in August.
