Record-breaking heat is on a two-day streak in Colorado Springs.

Saturday's high reached 93 degrees which surpassed the high of 89 degrees on June 17 in 2016.

On Friday, the high of 93 also set a record, topping the previous high for the day of 92 that also was set in 2016.

The back-to-back streak will come to an end Sunday as a cold front moves through.

The weather service predicted a high of 76 degrees on Sunday with mostly sunny skies.
