A crash involving a car and several pedestrians shut down several lanes of traffic and sent at least three people to the hospital with serious injuries around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, police said. KKTV reported one person was killed.

Colorado Springs police with the major accident unit remained on scene late Tuesday.

The intersection of Murray Boulevard and Bijou Street was closed after the accident.

Lanes of Platte Avenue also were shut down at Murray Boulevard, and northbound lanes of Murray were closed at Lionstone Drive, police said.
