The Discovery Canyon team can only watch from the sidelines during the final event, the boys 400-yard freestyle relay, after their team was disqualified for a clothing infraction Saturday, May 19, 2018, during the Class 4A  Colorado State Swimming Championships at Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. Discovery Canyon was in first place going into the final event and had the best time at :3:14.78. The Thunder team finished second place behind Wndsor.  (The Gazette, Christian Murdock)
