Colorado Springs firefighters said three adults, three children and several animals were forced from their home Monday night after an attic fire started in a house in northeast Colorado Springs.

The fire started around 8 p.m. Monday at 6169 Desoto Drive, near Stetson Hills and Powers boulevards.

Crews quickly brought it under control.
