Broncos: Three things to watch vs. Oakland

Three things to watch Sunday as the Broncos host the Raiders:

1. DON’T OFFER HOPE
Last year, the Broncos let Raiders quarterback JaMarcus Russell get off to a hot start, and he completed 10-of-11 passes in a 31-10 upset. Charlie Frye, who hasn’t played all year, starts for Oakland today. Denver needs to make sure he doesn’t gain any confidence.

2. MORENO REBOUNDS
Knowshon Moreno had a tough game last week at Indianapolis. This week, he faces the 30th-ranked run defense in the NFL. With Correll Buckhalter doubtful to play, Moreno will get most of the carries. This could be the week the rookie gets his first 100-yard rushing game.

3. DON’T LET UP
The Broncos have avoided playing down to the competition all year. Their only loss against a losing team was at Washington, and that can be blamed on quarterback Kyle Orton’s injury. Denver’s three wins against losing teams have all been blowouts.
