ENGLEWOOD – Josh McDaniels didn’t have any complaints after reviewing video from the Denver Broncos’ 44-13 win at Kansas City.

He began his day-after press conference by praising the play of the special teams.

“It started with our performance in the kicking game,” McDaniels said. “I feel we challenged them in every phase of our special teams.”

The defense forced a punt or turnover on downs seven times without allowing a first down, and McDaniels praised that unit for forcing three turnovers.

He was pleased that the running game had only one run that lost yardage.

“We’ve talked a lot about that this year and did a good job controlling the line of scrimmage,” McDaniels said.

The players received the day off after improving to 8-4. The Broncos’ next challenge will be their toughest as they play at Indianapolis, which is 12-0. While McDaniels spent much of his press conference discussing the greatness of the Colts, he wanted to appreciate the effort of his team’s latest win first.

“All in all, I’m happy with the way our team approached the game yesterday,” McDaniels said.
