Three things to watch Sunday against Dallas:
1. Predictable outcomes?
Both quarterbacks might have to fight their tendencies. Dallas’ Tony Romo takes chances downfield and makes some mistakes. Denver’s Kyle Orton has been the opposite. Today, Romo needs to avoid mistakes, and Orton needs to test a Cowboys’ secondary that has given up some big plays.
2. Human shield
Ryan Clady hasn’t given up a full sack in his 19 career games. DeMarcus Ware had 20 sacks for Dallas last year. This stellar one-on-one matchup might not be the determining factor today, but it will be fun to watch.
3. Rush to judgment
The Broncos’ defense can erase any skepticism that remains about their hot start. Denver ranks first in the NFL in yards allowed, but the Cowboys are first in rushing yards. If Denver can limit Dallas’ physical running game, it will be an impressive feat.
