Two Colorado Springs police officers spotted a mountain lion darting through a shopping center and into an apartment complex early today.

According to police, officers were patrolling in east Colorado Springs near the Fireside Apartments, 610 N. Murray Blvd. about 4 a.m. They saw a large mountain lion run into apartment complex courtyard and disappear. Officers called the Division of Wildlife, but the mountain lion was gone by the time members of the department arrived.
