DURANGO - More than 100 animals were seized from a property in La Plata County on Wednesday in an animal cruelty investigation.
The La Plata County Humane Society said about 110 animals, including dogs, a cat, pigs, goats, sheep, horses, a burro, a duck, chickens and cattle were on the property. The seizure is part of an ongoing investigation and few other details were available.
Pictures from the humane society were released of a dog with fur so badly matted it couldn't see out of one eye and a horse that looked visibly malnourished.
