A semi-truck filled with hay crashed and caught fire on Interstate 25 just south of Colorado City, shutting down all northbound lanes.
Closures begin at mile marker 73. Pueblo police are rerouting drivers to Colorado 67 at exit 63.
The semi was driving northbound on I-25 when it experienced sudden tire failure, according to Colorado State Patrol. The driver struck a guard rail, which caused it to flip on its side and burst into flames.
A witness assisted the driver, identified as Alfred Clauch, 69, out of the vehicle. Clauch was transported to Pueblo for treatment of his injuries.
The crashed happened shortly before 3:30 a.m., the Colorado Department of Transportation said. Police estimate the highway will be closed until late afternoon.
