Rick Carter, the new General Manager, brings with him more than 30 years of experience in the industry; and an unfaltering commitment to client satisfaction. “More than anything, we bring with us a renewed focus on customer service, to provide an exceptional and memorable client experience,” said Carter. “I am the type of person who is very hands-on – I like to meet and greet customers and ensure that they are being taken care of and given all of the help and support that they need.” On that same token, Carter ensures that staff are provided the assistance and direction needed to handle client inquiries with knowledge and confidence. “The thing I’m most encouraged about is the great staff of employees. They really care, they’re not promising things they can’t do, and they’re just all-around solid citizens,” he said.
On the service end, the new Service Manager Duke Croney moved from Washington and brings with him more than 40 years of experience. He has a deep understanding of client needs from his four decades in the business. The service department also has three new technicians, two of whom were previously employed by the dealership – Kolby Hicks and Ezra Siffert. The beloved techs are excited to be back, and many longtime customers have already visited to congratulate them on their return and express gratitude for their unparalleled quality of service. There are also two service writers – Erick Bates and Anthony Benson – who have been with the dealership for 18 years, and have a very loyal customer following. “We now have the best technicians and service writers that the dealership has ever had,” Carter said.
Mike Shaw currently has seven family-owned dealerships spanning Texas, Louisiana and Colorado. The Colorado Springs location opened its doors in 2000, and ever since Shaw has been very active in community organizations, nonprofits and initiatives, including the Chamber of Commerce, Home Builders Association, Colorado 30 Group, Title Sponsor Military Affairs Award Luncheon, El Pomar Foundation, Boy Scouts of America and Susan B Komen Foundation.
