USA Today reporter vilified online for asking Peyton Manning about sexual assault case at retirement press conference

She threw the tough question — and then came the pile.

The USA Today reporter who asked Peyton Manning about his sexual assault accusation was immediately blindsided by bile online — with Manning lovers attacking her for doing her job.

“Manning deserved a chance to respond to what everyone has been saying about him for the last month. I had to ask,” Jones wrote minutes after dropping the bombshell question at Manning’s laudatory retirement presser.

She swiftly added: “RIP my mentions.”
