The annual Cripple Creek Ice Festival kicked off President's Day weekend and continues next Saturday and Sunday.

The Gazette's Jerilee Bennett was in Cripple Creek Sunday to take these photos. 

The event goes from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. 

Thousands attended the first weekend of the Cripple Creek Ice Festival and were entertained by watching the progress of dozens of ice sculptures being made. More than 90,000 people showed up last year.
