Colorado Springs police arrested a man after a car chase resulted in a crash in the front yard of a house at Boggs Place and Fountain Boulevard early Saturday.
John Baker was arrested after police found him hiding in truck topper in the backyard of a house near the crash.
The chase started after a police officer ran the plates of the car in a 7-Eleven parking lot at Fountain and Union boulevards at about 2:30 a.m. and found that it was stolen. When the officer stopped the car after it left the store, the driver sped off.
The car was found later crashed in the front yard, police said.
Police dog Max helped locate the suspect.
