A man was beaten and had his cell phone stolen during a brawl at a southern Colorado Springs party that included gunfire, officers say.

Police were called to the 1700 block of Flintshire Street just before 2 a.m. on reports of the fight. Officers said a group of men barged in on a party and the fight was on. Neighbors told police they heard a single gunshot.

Police say a man at the party told officers he was “jumped” and beaten and his phone was taken during the incident. That man suffered what police called minor injuries and wasn’t hospitalized.

Officers hadn’t caught the alleged party-crashers.
