Colorado Springs police say a car that was stolen in Denver smacked into a Colorado College security guard on a golf cart Sunday.

Police were alerted to the stolen car through a GPS-based locating system just before 9:30 a.m. Police spotted the car downtown and tried to pull it over before it sped away.

The stolen car hit the golf cart on East Uintah Street before it was abandoned in a nearby parking lot.

Police tracked down two teen boys from Denver who had fled the stolen vehicle. They were held pending investigation.

The security guard in the golf cart suffered minor injuries and was treated at a hospital, police said.
