Colorado Springs police arrested a man after he allegedly fired a gun into a neighboring apartment early Friday morning.

According to police, Aleksey Kolyushin, 27, was taken into custody shortly before 2 a.m. on suspicion of illegal discharge and prohibited use of a firearm and reckless endangerment.

Officers were called to the apartments at 4460 Burton Way when a man awoke to the sound of a gunshot. He called police and reported that he heard the loud blast and found a bullet hole in the bedroom wall near his bed, a report said.

No body was injured and Kolyushin was taken to the El Paso County jail.
