A multiple agency investigation more than a year in the making resulted in the arrest of a man who faces charges in Castle Rock, Douglas County, Arapahoe County and Pueblo.

Scott Brasselero, 46, was arrested at 2 p.m. Wednesday by the Colorado Springs Police Department Robbery Unit. He was already in custody in Fremont County facing unspecified charges.

In Colorado Springs, Brasselero faces two charges of aggravated robbery in connection with the robberies of First Bank at 4515 Broadmoor Bluffs Dr. on January 10 and the Safeway pharmacy at 1920 S. Nevada Ave. on Feb. 17.

The investigation has been going on for 13 months, Colorado Springs police said.

Investigators found similarities through video and physical evidence that led to the identification of Brasselero, police said.
