K9 Max helps police track wanted man

Colorado Springs police along with K9 dog Max spent part of early Friday morning tracking a man wanted on suspicion of several felony offenses, police said.

Eric Eugene Caruthers, 30, was tracked by officers and Max as he fled from officers just after 8 a.m. on Friday morning. They followed Caruthers, who is wanted on suspicion of domestic violence charges, along an alley around 1500 Fountain Street, until Max caught Caruthers' scent.

Officers and Max found Caruthers hiding under a truck. He was arrested and booked into the El Paso County jail.
