The Avalanche will hold its annual Burgundy-White game Sept. 15 at Cadet Ice Arena at the Air Force Academy, the NHL team announced Tuesday, according to the Denver Post.
This marks the fifth time overall that the Air Force Academy has played host to the event. Air Force welcomed the Burgundy-White game for three straight years from 2007-09 and then again in 2011. The Burgundy-White game features all Avalanche players competing in an intrasquad scrimmage of three periods. Fans in attendance will also have the opportunity to watch a shootout at the end of regulation, regardless of the score.
Tickets go on sale Wednesday through Air Force's official website atGoAirForceFalcons.com or by calling 800-666-USAF (8723). Prices range from $15 for military personnel to $22 for the public.
