Mesa Ridge is turning to Paul Mileto to take over the boys' basketball program.
Athletic director Mike Sullivan confirmed that Mileto was hired by the Grizzlies.
Mileto will take over what should be a senior-laden squad to help him through his first season at Mesa Ridge.
While the team went 10-15 overall, 5-9 in the 4A Colorado Springs Metro League last season, the Grizzlies bring back plenty of experience.
The team graduated four seniors, but is expected to return eight varsity players, including Cain Martinez, who led the team with 292 points and 11.7 points per game last season as a junior.
The Grizzlies qualified for last season's playoffs and upset No. 7 Pueblo County on the road in the first round. They were eliminated by eventual quarterfinalist Sand Creek.
Mileto takes over for George Smith, who went 14-34 in two seasons.
