A United Way executive from Kansas City will take over as CEO of Pikes Peak United Way on July 1, the day after current CEO JD Dallager retires.

Pikes Peak United Way announced Tuesday that Jason Wood, vice president of community engagement for the Kansas City organization, was selected after a four-month nationwide search.

Wood has 13 years of management experience, including 10 in the nonprofit sector.
