A man was being treated for injuries Saturday morning after a 2 a.m. shooting in the 2500 block of Platte Place.

Neighbors alerted police to gunfire in the area. Officers arrived to find a car shot full of holes.

Minutes later, a man turned up with a gunshot wound at the emergency room of Fort Carson’s Evans Army Community Hospital. Police say the man was expected to survive.

He told officers he didn’t know who fired the shots and gave only vague descriptions of three gunmen.

Detectives were taking over the case.
