A small fire in an electrical room at Vista Ridge High School set off a building's sprinkler system Sunday, prompting Falcon School District 49 to cancel classes there Monday.

"The fire is out and was contained, but water damage was caused by the sprinklers," the district said in a news release. "In order to conduct proper clean up, all classes are canceled."

The school, at 6888 Black Forest Road, focuses on science, technology engineering and math.

The district didn't say what caused the fire at the 1,200-student facility.
