Colorado Springs police were investigating a Saturday night death after a bleeding man was found in an alley south of the 500 block of West Colorado Avenue.
Police say the incident was reported just before 7 p.m. Police arrived to find the man bleeding in an alley. He was unconscious, but breathing when he was found, officers said.
He was taken by ambulance to a downtown hospital
“At 7:20 p.m. he was pronounced dead,” police said in a new release. “He was 55 years of age.”
Police said they were investigating the death as “suspicious”, but released no details on why the death was considered suspicious.
The man’s name wasn’t released pending the notification of his family.
Officers didn’t describe the nature of his wounds.
Police didn’t release information on anyone else who could have been involved in the death.
Officers were still looking for clues in the alley at 12:50 a.m., police said.
