Investigators have arrested a Colorado Springs psychologist on suspicion of sexually assaulting a client.

Dr. Janice Husted was arrested Dec. 31 and faces a charge of sexual assault on a client by a psychotherapist, a Class 4 felony.

According to the victim, a young man who was assigned to receive counseling related to his combat deployments, the sexual relationship began in August 2011. It continued until October or November 2011, he told investigators.

“The victim shared that the psychologist told him on several occasions that he had to be careful and not tell people when they were out on dates,” the man told investigators.
