A Fort Carson officer linked to multiple crimes involving young children was arrested again on Wednesday in connection with an Alabama sex crimes case, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.

Lt. Aaron Lucas, 31, who was booked in November on 21 criminal counts, was arrested in connection with a child enticement and sexual child abuse case from 2002 in Madison, Alabama. Lucas was taken into custody on Wednesday by Fort Carson officials and booked into the El Paso County jail without bail as a fugitive from justice, according to news release from the sheriff’s office.

Lucas was arrested on Oct. 23 in connection with a kidnapping case. Investigators also believe that Lucas had been preying on children, mostly girls, under the age of 15 since he arrived at Fort Carson in 2009. He faces 21 counts from three local jurisdictions, including aggravated sexual assault on a child, kidnapping, enticement, indecent exposure and attempted sexual assault of a child.
