A 48-year old Canon City woman is in the Fremont County Detention Center after she allegedly stabbed her husband during a fight at their home on Navajo Drive in southern Fremont County.
Kelly Dooley is being held on charges of 2nd degree assault/domestic violence.
The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office was notified of the stabbing at about 11:10 a.m. Wednesday, after Kelly Dooley went to a neighbor’s house asking for help. Dooley told the neighbor she had stabbed her husband, David Dooley, during a fight, the sheriff’s office said.
The neighbor took David Dooley to Canon City where they met with deputies and an ambulance. He was transported to St. Thomas More Hospital where he was treated for a non-life threatening stab wound in the back.
